Rhodes house welcomes new accessibility
Checkout the new permanent ramp installations outside Rhodes House! The new ramps blend seamlessly with the existing facade, enabling smooth access from pavement to the entrance hall. Over the past year, a range of access features have also been installed internally within the building, including power doors and a brand new lift! For the first time in almost 90 years, wheelchair users will be able to roam independently throughout the iconic building. This is a fantastic example of tastefully transforming the accessibility of a Grade 2 Star listed building. The result of hard work from several generations of dedicated Rhodies, staff, and faculty past and present will benefit Oxfordians and visitors alike long into the future! Awesome stuff!"
